Very cool church and highly recomend the tour of the crypt, eerie and fascinating at the same time seeing all those embalmed bodies of past clergy etc. Ask at the barbershop across street for tickets and a guide to take you down into the crypt, worth the 4 euros. Very rich history and overall a very cool town to visit, great little shops
Nicest Church of Sicily. That’s what we thought. Because we run in to this “pearl” accidentally and the guide walked us around and showed us the mysterieus catacomb of the church. When there a must see!
Beautiful, typical of the region church, very interesting crypt with mummified priests from hundreds of years ago. The crupt is definitely worth a visit when in Sicily, especially if in Gangi or close.
Beautiful! Too bad we didn't find the keeper to visit the tower! Mother Church of S. Nicoló in Bari. There is a slide for the entrance. On the side there is a free car park with white lines for one hour, you have to put the parking disc. Recommended visit! Suitable for both adults and children.
The mother church of Gangi is located in the historic center of the town. The church is very beautiful and rich in decorations. Inside it is possible to visit the crypt at a cost of €5.

We were welcomed in an extraordinary way. It was a Monday, so the tours were closed but we met one of the restaurant owners there who showed us around the whole place for €5/per. A church rich in history, magnificent and with impressive catacombs. Really great, we recommend for all lovers of religious places or unusual/creepy places.
Visiting such a well-kept crypt with unique features in Italy makes you relive past times that shaped the history of the people of the Sicilian hinterland. Attention to detail in the restoration, catacombs without the typical smell of rotten subsoil and a well-built route. To visit and to leave our hearts waiting for new changes in the monumental and historical route.
